Since its establishment in 1978, JAMB was saddled with the statutory responsibility of conducting entrance examinations for prospective students seeking admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, monotechnics and colleges of education.
The Senate's position is intended to modify the policy to meet with present day challenges.
Particularly, it is hoped that it will save parents and their wards the rigour and cost implication of taking the examination every year.
